Infectious Diseases Pharmacology Fellowship (Bulman Lab)

The Infectious Diseases Pharmacology Fellowship at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy engages trainees in various research projects in Dr. Zackery Bulman's laboratory. Fellows have opportunities to lead several projects related to the management of resistant bacterial infections and be involved in NIH-funded research. The position provides advanced training in antimicrobial pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), bacterial resistance, infectious diseases, translational pharmacology, and in vitro dynamic infection models.

Additional experience in scientific writing, grantsmanship, and experimental design, is also gained during this training program. Fellows will have the opportunity to publish several original research articles and assist in the preparation of grants. Various lecturing and precepting opportunities are provided to enable fellows to build their teaching and mentorship skills. Past trainees have also had the opportunity to spend time participating in clinical service at UI Health. Fellows also enjoy opportunities to work collaboratively with other labs and present their work at various meetings.
