Neera Kadiyala, COP P2 PharmD Student, received new funding as the PI, with Dr. Zackery Bulman as the mentor, from ACCP Foundation Futures Grants Program for a one-year grant for the amount of $5,000. The title of the project is “Novel Aminoglycoside Treatment Strategies for KPC-Producing K. pneumoniae.” Carbapenem-resistant bacteria, such as KPC-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae, can cause severe infections associated with high rates of mortality. This project aims to identify novel antibiotic combination strategies that target these pathogens.
