New Tenure Track Faculty Members Secure Grant Funding

Newest members of the Section, tenure track researchers Dr. Bulman and Dr. Wenzler, secure grant funding to support their research.

Dr. Bulman was awarded the CATS KL2 and CBC Catalyst award for his work that aims to optimize aminoglycoside therapy for carbapenem-resistant K. pneumoniae. 

Dr. Wenzler was awarded several industry grants evaluating the pharmacokinetics of cefiderocol, edoxaban, and rivaroxaban during in vitro CRRT, the activity of aztreonam in combination with imipenem-relabactam against MBL-producing E. coli, the in vitro activity of cefiderocol and minocycline against MDR S. maltophilia, and the clinical and economic outcomes of patients infected with CRE. He is also co-investigator on two CDC-funded multicenter trials and site Principal Investigator for a Phase IV and Phase III clinical trial.
